Our Story and Mission
Visionary Leadership, Lasting Impact
The Essence Collective is a movement, a mindset, and a meeting place for Black women who are ready to live, lead, and build with intention. Founded by Legacy Doula and Essence Architect Leah Owens, TEC exists to help Black women step into their authentic essence, expand their influence, and design legacies that outlive every season of their lives.
We don’t do hustle culture. We don’t do performative empowerment. We do alignment. We do truth-telling. We do sisterhood that actually supports you, not drains you.
Inside this community, Black women are invited to slow down, remember who they are, honor where they come from, and shape where they’re going. Every coaching program, workshop, intensive, journal, and experience we create is designed to help women reconnect with the parts of themselves that the world tries to dim—then turn that light all the way up.
